This afternoon, we headed to Daddy's work for trick-or-treating. Amy was so excited to go to Daddy's work and for him to go trick-or-treating with her! Amy chose to be a princess this year, which isn't too surprising since she loves dressing up in dresses - the fancier the dress, the better! Of course, earlier today, Amy fell while crawling around on some chairs and got a pretty good shiner on her eye! I attempted to put ice on it, though Amy wanted nothing to do with that! I hoped that the swelling would go down by the time she got up from her nap. However, today was the day that Amy decided that she didn't need a nap (which is the third year in a row that Amy has had difficulty sleeping the day that we are to go trick-or-treating!). So, Amy had some "quiet" time in her room and then we went to work on getting her dressed to go to Daddy's work.
When we walked into Daddy's building, Amy took off running for Daddy, yelling, "Daddy, Daddy!" What a way to melt a Mommy's heart! Kurt loved showing her off to all of his co-workers. Amy enjoyed going to the different bowls/hats/containers of candy and picking out different pieces of candy. However, she was not fond of the bowl that a hand in it (the hand moves when you reach in to get candy). Last year, the same bowl scared her...to the point that she remembered the bowl this year. This year, the hand was "off" but Amy still remembered and wanted nothing to do with the candy that was in that bowl! She even talked about that bowl for several days following our trick-or-treating at Daddy's work!
