Halloween 2010

Sunday, 10-31-10

On Halloween, Amy was so excited to go trick-or-treating. She was ready to get into her princess dress that morning, though she was able to wait (somewhat patiently!) until after dinner. She was so excited to go that we were out the door as soon as we were done eating. We had practiced what to say at each house, though it didn't always come out, "trick or treat." At a few houses, it was "I want candy" though she improved somewhat to "candy please." She was especially thrilled to pick out a beanie baby bear that one house was handing out - they had a tote full of the stuffed animals! So, Amy picked out one...that was pink, of course! She loves the bear and it is a new addition to her bed of various stuffed animals and blankets! Unfortunately, one house had the bowl with the hand in it and she still wanted nothing to do with that bowl, even though the hand was "off." At another house, there was a bat flapping on the porch and she wasn't' too sure about it either. However, she loved seeing a little boy dressed up as a M&M. She knew exactly what he was and thought it was such a fun costume! After to several houses, we finally made our way home to show Daddy all of the goodies that she got. Once we got home, Amy enjoyed handing out candy to other trick-or-treaters that came to our house.
