It brings me such pleasure & joy to see Amy love "reading" her books. I have always loved to read and I just smile when I watch Amy sit & look at her books. She's always been interested in books even at a young age when she couldn't even turn the pages. There were a few times when I found Amy looking at a book and the book was upside down!! Over time, though, it has become quite comical to see how she simply hoards her books!!! She will take book after book off the coffee table or organizer and throw them onto our rocking chair. She then will climb up on the chair and sit on top of the books to read them.
I sometimes wonder if she likes to sit tall as her pile of books can be quite high at times. Initially, I had concerns about her falling due to losing her balance, but she clearly has mastered the skill of sitting on a pile of books, though she sometimes has difficulty getting a book that she is sitting directly on top of!! : )
Sometimes, she will grab my hand and tell me she wants to read. She takes me to the chair and this is what I often find:
I'm not sure where she thinks I'm going to sit, except for on top of the books like she does!!
Once she is done looking at a book, she simply tosses it to the side, often resulting in a pile of books looking like this:
I hope that Amy's love of books continues to grow and grow over the years!!
