Halloween Fun

October 2011

Amy & Nathan got a Halloween care package from their cousins, Benjamin & Grace. Among the many wonderful items in the package were two Halloween headbands. Amy loved them!!! She also thought Nathan would love them, though I'm not sure he was as excited about them as Amy!

Even Daddy got in on the action with the headbands!

We headed to New Albany in early October to help Granddad celebrate his birthday (along with Daddy). We enjoyed visiting with Grandma & Granddad as well as Uncle Tim, Aunt Thuydung, and Samantha. Nathan was introduced to Buddy, Tim's dog. Nathan seemed to like Buddy, though he had a tendency to pull Buddy's fur. Buddy did a very good job with Nathan and was very patient with him!
Amy loves to glide at Grandma and Granddad's. This time, she was gliding with Nathan's Pooh doll!Aunt Thuydung helping Nathan ride the Pooh car!Amy helping Granddad open his birthday cards/gifts.

(The spacing in this post is driving me crazy. I've been working on it for too long, so sorry if the spacing drives you crazy as much as it drives me crazy!) :)

Monkey Amy

October 2011

Amy has had so much fun with Nathan's Halloween costume. We bought Nathan a monkey costume, though apparently the top/jacket is almost big enough for Amy. In all fairness to Nathan, we had to go up one size since the store didn't have his size in the costume. Amy enjoys putting on the monkey top and pretending to be a monkey. She jokes about how she's going to be a monkey for Halloween and Nathan will be a princess (which is what Amy originally said she wanted to be). Either way, she's had fun being a monkey!

Dishwasher Fun

October 2011

There must be something about dishwashers. Both Amy and Nathan have loved playing at the dishwasher, especially when they started pulling up. It's the perfect height for them, I guess. Nathan gets so excited when he sees the dishwasher is open. He takes off in a mad dash, ummm, crawl toward the dishwasher. He sometimes even "helps" unload the dishwasher by grabbing at the utensils. Sometimes, it's a race to see who can get at the utensils faster, me or him. Nathan is such a cutie...I mean, seriously, look at that smile!
