Family Pictures

October 2011

We had family pictures taken at a local park. I tend to like the outdoor pictures a bit better, especially of Amy. It seems like her eyes simply pop in these outdoor pictures. There were so many pictures to choose from - I didn't include all of them, though I included a lot! :)

The Princess & Her Monkey

Halloween 2011

Not surprising, this year Amy wanted to be a princess for Halloween. She chose to be Belle since, according to her, she didn't have a Belle dress. Obviously, Halloween costumes are a year-round thing at our house...perfect for playing dress-up, which we do frequently! Once we decided that Nathan would be a monkey, Amy started saying that Nathan was "her" monkey. So, it was the princess and her monkey!

We were able to go to Daddy's work one afternoon to go trick-or-treating before Halloween. Amy simply loves going through the office building picking out candies. She enjoyed picking a few items for Nathan as well.

On Halloween, Amy was so excited to go around the neighborhood with a few of her little friends. Nathan went with us for a few houses before he returned home to help Daddy pass out candy to the other trick-or-treaters. Amy enjoyed picking out candy, but especially loved picking out a bear from the house that gives out bears!

New Trick

October 2011

Nathan has learned a new trick...

Pulling all the books off the shelf. I wonder if he learned this from his sister because she used to do the exact same thing!!
It looks like he enjoys it as much as Amy used to....not sure if Mommy likes this new trick, but look at that smile!

Halloween Fun

October 2011

Amy & Nathan got a Halloween care package from their cousins, Benjamin & Grace. Among the many wonderful items in the package were two Halloween headbands. Amy loved them!!! She also thought Nathan would love them, though I'm not sure he was as excited about them as Amy!

Even Daddy got in on the action with the headbands!

October 2011

We headed to New Albany in early October to help Granddad celebrate his birthday (along with Daddy). We enjoyed visiting with Grandma & Granddad as well as Uncle Tim, Aunt Thuydung, and Samantha. Nathan was introduced to Buddy, Tim's dog. Nathan seemed to like Buddy, though he had a tendency to pull Buddy's fur. Buddy did a very good job with Nathan and was very patient with him!
Amy loves to glide at Grandma and Granddad's. This time, she was gliding with Nathan's Pooh doll!Aunt Thuydung helping Nathan ride the Pooh car!Amy helping Granddad open his birthday cards/gifts.

Helping Granddad & Daddy blow out the candles on the cake!

(The spacing in this post is driving me crazy. I've been working on it for too long, so sorry if the spacing drives you crazy as much as it drives me crazy!) :)

Monkey Amy

October 2011

Amy has had so much fun with Nathan's Halloween costume. We bought Nathan a monkey costume, though apparently the top/jacket is almost big enough for Amy. In all fairness to Nathan, we had to go up one size since the store didn't have his size in the costume. Amy enjoys putting on the monkey top and pretending to be a monkey. She jokes about how she's going to be a monkey for Halloween and Nathan will be a princess (which is what Amy originally said she wanted to be). Either way, she's had fun being a monkey!
